Junior Culinary Training Facilitator (Part-time 9 Hours/ 3 days per week

About the Role

Provide basic culinary instruction to participants utilizing select program curriculum. This role aims to teach the essentials of cooking, emphasizing their application to life skills. The instructor will guide students through foundational culinary techniques, fostering confidence and self-sufficiency in the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in the culinary arts preferred. 

  • Valid food handler’s license. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the culinary and/or hospitality industry. 

  • Experience in facilitating professional adult training (trainer, teacher, instructor, or educator). 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and have an interest in serving justice involved participant population. 

  • Experience in recruiting, assessing, enrolling, career coaching and placing participants strongly preferred. 

  • Flexibility to work part-time and temporary hours to meet program operations and needs. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry. 

  • Become a ServSafe Certified Instructor and Proctor within 60 days of employment.
