About the Role
Provides individual and group Psychosocial Rehabilitative services (PSR) for adults with chronic mental illness using the identified principles of the program in order to help participants reduce or ameliorate symptoms and to improve independent living skills. Provides education and skill-building sessions, including socialization, illness and medication self management, recovery planning, healthy-living, and in-vivo cooking sessions with participants, among others. Uses individual treatment plans to inform services provided. Monitors treatment progress regularly and reviews treatment plans as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work or related field, or 5 years of experience in mental health and/or substance abuse field in lieu of education.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Experience working with diverse populations and groups preferred.
Periodically assigned to rotating crisis-line cellular phone.
